a welcome to fall

today we welcome the first full day of Fall 🍂

we welcome in the Metal element. after the “all encompassing” movement of energy in Summer - the Fire element moves in all directions - we enter in a more subtle, slower movement of energy. Metal is heavy, its condensing, its downward drawing. there’s a stillness and a slowness that exists. the trees begin to come back to their center, but before that there’s this brilliant color and flutter of movement!

Fall is a chance to turn inward. a chance to reflect on the feelings, sensations, and energies of Summer. a chance to ready for the coming of Winter.

and for many of us, a chance to redecorate your spaces, break out those Fall scents, enjoy some seasonal activities, and enjoy those last bits of time where we can have the windows open.
